Dr. Frank G. Tunstall served as bishop and superintendent of the (IPHC) Heartland Conference for eight years. He also served as president of Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma City and as editor-in-chief of IPHC publications. Tunstall has authored several books including Our Awesome Lord: A Pentecostal Christology and The Simultaneous Principle: A History of World Missions Ministries. This is his first Christmas work.
About the Book (from the author):
The celebration of Christmas began to grow in popularity in the early nineteen hundreds in America. But as it has done so a “Biblical” Christmas has been slowly lost. Secular symbols like Santa Claus, Christmas trees, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer are taking first place.
The story of Baby Jesus over the years since has slowly faded in the public arena as a major part of the celebration of Christmas. The result has been a secular Christmas that has largely taken the place of Mary’s Baby, the Son of God.
My goal is to put Baby Jesus back into CHRISTMAS. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on a cross for our salvation. We do not want to give Him second place. Let’s celebrate Jesus too.
